Associate Litigation Attorney
Gurstel Law Firm, P.C. is a multi-state litigation law firm representing creditors in all aspects of the legal collection process. As an Associate Litigation Attorney, you will be responsible for managing litigation cases, providing legal assessments, and advocating for clients in court while maintaining a focus on quality and integrity.

Responsibilities
Ability to provide thorough and practical assessments and advice while advocating for clients in and out of court during the legal process
Focus on continuous quality work product and performance in the Firm’s energized and fast-paced environment while doing right, maintaining integrity, and achieving results
Prepare, draft, and review documents, new referrals, complaints, motions and discovery requests and responses
Document account/file activity in accordance with the Firm and client policies and procedures
Coordinate and attend court proceedings virtually, and, from time to time, travel to various courts in the State and effectively handle all aspects of a case’s litigation life cycle
Research and interpret case laws, rulings, and regulations and formulate legal opinions for review by supervising attorney
Communicate with clients in a responsive manner to maintain and further develop client relationships
Negotiate settlements
Attend continuing education classes, webinars, and seminars to remain current and well-informed of any local, state, or federal changes in the law, rules of court or court procedures
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Qualified attorney with no discipline history with an active license in the state of Arizona
Ability to collaborate with other employees to utilize resources and knowledge of others in identifying high quality solutions
Possesses leadership skills and the ability to drive and motivate other employees to achieve results
Excellent written and oral communication skills across a broad spectrum of attorney and non-attorney recipients including all levels within the organization and external
Preferred
3-5 Years' experience preferred
Minimum 2-year civil law firm preferred
Knowledge of state laws and regulations relevant to motor vehicle repossessions, collections, and repair shop and storages facilities preferred but will train
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
Work in a team-oriented environment and meet tight deadlines and prioritize projects with limited supervision
Westlaw, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Adobe Acrobat, Legal Case Management Software
