Responsibilities

Supervise and support shop staff through training, scheduling, and mentorship

Review and interpret drawings, cut lists, and fabrication details to ensure accuracy

Organize daily workflow and production priorities to meet project schedules

Set up, operate, and maintain fabrication equipment and workstations

Ensure all machinery and tools are in safe, reliable condition

Oversee material handling, loading, and unloading for project deliveries

Maintain shop records, track productivity, and identify opportunities for improvement

Keep facilities clean, organized, and compliant with safety protocols

Work closely with project managers, superintendents, and estimators to align fabrication goals with field requirements
