Network Engineer II
Endurance IT Services provides Managed IT Services, Cybersecurity Solutions, and IT Consulting. They are seeking a Network Engineer II to design, implement, and maintain secure, high-performance enterprise networks, focusing on advanced networking technologies across Layers 2–7.

Responsibilities
Design and implement advanced Layer 2 and Layer 3 network configurations to ensure high availability and optimal performance
Configure and maintain dynamic routing protocols such as OSPF and EIGRP, along with redundant gateway technologies (HSRP, VRRP, GLBP)
Deploy and manage firewall policies using NAT, ACLs, and stateful inspection to enforce security standards
Troubleshoot application-layer issues for services including DNS, DHCP, HTTP, and HTTPS
Manage and optimize Wireless LAN Controller (WLC) configurations, RF tuning, roaming performance, and wireless coverage
Implement and maintain Network Access Control (NAC) solutions such as Cisco ISE or Aruba ClearPass (CPPM)
Support network segmentation using VRFs and assist with introductory BGP and MPLS configurations
Monitor network performance, analyze logs, and proactively resolve issues to minimize downtime
Maintain accurate network documentation, participate in change control processes, and contribute to network design and architecture reviews
Qualification
Required
Proven experience with core networking technologies (L2–L3), including advanced VLAN design, trunking, and inter-VLAN routing
Hands-on experience configuring EtherChannel/LACP and advanced STP features (PortFast, BPDU Guard, Root Guard)
Strong proficiency in OSPF and EIGRP configuration and troubleshooting
Experience with redundant gateway protocols including HSRP, VRRP, and GLBP
Familiarity with VRFs and route leaking at an introductory level
Knowledge of upper-layer networking (L4–L7), including firewall fundamentals (stateful inspection, NAT, ACLs)
Ability to perform application-layer troubleshooting for DNS, DHCP, HTTP, and HTTPS
Understanding of QoS concepts, including classification, marking, and queuing
Intermediate-level Wi-Fi expertise, including WLC configuration and RF optimization
Experience with NAC solutions such as Cisco ISE or Aruba ClearPass (CPPM)
Required certifications: CCNA, Network+, Security+
Preferred
Preferred certification: CCNP (strongly enhances candidacy)
Experience with industrial Ethernet switching and familiarity with Moxa industrial switches is a plus
