Studios Controllership
Cypress HCM is seeking a Studios Controllership professional for a 6-month contract assignment in Los Angeles. The role involves preparation and upload of journal entries, managing accounts receivable, and supporting month-end and quarter-end close processes.

Responsibilities
Preparation and upload of journal entries in Oracle, including:
Network journal entries to support monthly close and ensure proper revenue recognition
Coding entries to correct GL accounts and code block elements
Intercompany journal entries for transactions between Paramount Global divisions
Participation statement journal entries for various titles
Studio and Kapital recurring journal entries
Ad hoc journal entries as needed
Assist with cash receipts and accounts receivable:
Manage customer cash inflows
Identify and apply payments in TREC (billing system)
Support AR functions such as generating AR aging reports
Ensure cash receipts are booked to the correct GL accounts
Track delivery memos:
Review monthly forecasts and delivery schedules
Follow up with post-production teams to confirm deliveries
Ensure delivery memos contain accurate information
Save delivery memos to the appropriate shared drive folders by delivery month
Intercompany balance reconciliations:
Assist with month-end intercompany balance reviews
Collaborate with finance teams across divisions to reconcile discrepancies
Support accuracy of consolidated financial statements
Month-end and quarter-end close support:
Assist with preparation of quarterly Critical Review deliverables for Internal Audit
Organize folders, journals, and supporting documentation
Assist with preparation of the divisional month-end close calendar
Distribute daily P&L and balance sheet reports to Controllership and FP&A teams
Fixed assets:
Assist with fixed asset tracking and related reporting
Qualification
Required
2–3 years of accounting or finance experience (minimum)
Strong Excel skills including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and formulas (moderate proficiency, not entry-level)
Experience preparing journal entries
Oracle experience
MS Office Suite
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Team-oriented and self-motivated
Able to manage deadlines and proactively communicate status
