PFS Advisor II

The PFS Advisor II role involves managing financial transactions for clients, preparing budgets, and ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies while maintaining communication with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities
Receive and record income on behalf of people we serve
Prepare budget with consumer by determining needs and goals
Prepare checks to pay expenses and provide consumer personal funds
Track all transactions on accounting software
Reconcile and monitor balances for compliance with WellPower, state and federal parameters
Prepare periodic reports for Social Security Administration and other regulatory agencies. Maintain communication with those agencies in the best interest of people we serve
Coordinate with WellPower clinical staff when necessary on behalf of people we serve
Educate, guide, and train other staff on the Client Trust Fund, and the role and responsibilities of Payeeships
Maintain a trauma informed environment of wellbeing
Assist PFS people we serve with reports required by the Social Security Administration
Provide one on one budgeting education to people we serve in the process of becoming their own payee
Facilitate and/or co-facilitate budgeting classes for groups of people we serve
Submit billing in Avatar for eligible services
Qualification
Required
Bachelor Degree in psychology, social work, or other related human services degree required
Knowledge or ability to learn and practice trauma informed principles and practices
Attention to detail
Ability to track information accurately using a computer database
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to communicate well with people from all walks of life
Tuberculosis (TB) screening and testing, is required and must be completed prior to hire (i.e., preplacement), and maintained during employment
Preferred
Experience working in a community mental health center or within the mental health field preferred
Accounting, bookkeeping, budgeting or broad payeeship experience preferred
