Responsibilities
Design high and extra-high voltage transmission lines (69-500kV) utilizing PLS-CADD
Prepare construction documentation including plan and profile drawings, structure loading trees, and foundation assembly drawings
Develop specifications, project design criteria, and engineering calculations
Provide field support during construction activities
Maintain strong relationships with internal project teams and external utility clients
Provide technical mentorship and guidance to less experienced engineering staff
Support project scheduling, budgeting, and quality assurance
Occasional travel to client sites or project locations
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program, or a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology with successful completion of the FE Exam
Master's degree in Civil Engineering may substitute for 1 year of experience
3+ years of transmission line design experience
Proficiency with PLS-CADD is required
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team environment
Preferred
Experience in consulting or utility industry environments preferred
Experience in HVDC systems is a plus
