Premier Infusion and Healthcare Services, Inc. is a preferred post-acute care partner for hospitals, physicians, and families in Southern CA. The Specialty Insurance Coordinator is responsible for all new referral insurance verification and authorization in a timely manner.

Pharmaceuticals

Responsibilities

Responsible for insurance verification for new and existing specialty patients by phone or using pharmacy software or payer portals

Responsible for insurance re-verification for all specialty restart patients

Responsible for insurance re-verification for all specialty patients at the beginning of each month and each new year

Responsible for advanced monitoring expiring authorizations for existing specialty patients

Responsible for securing advanced re-authorization for existing specialty patients

Participate in surveys conducted by authorized inspection agencies

Participate in the pharmacy’s Performance Improvement program as requested by the Performance Improvement Coordinator

Participate in pharmacy committees when requested

Participate in in-service education programs provided by the pharmacy

Report any misconduct, suspicious or unethical activities to the Compliance Officer

Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Comply with and adhere to the standards of this role as required by ACHC, Board of Pharmacy, Board of Nursing, Home Health Guidelines (Title 22), Medicare, Infusion Nurses Society, NHIA and other regulatory agencies, as applicable
