Responsibilities
Define and execute technology strategies to support L&H / Annuity products that streamline complex insurance operations
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of developers, fostering innovation, accountability, and excellence
Collaborate closely with product, actuarial, and operations teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions
Build a strong, motivated, and high-performing development team
Establish clear goals, professional growth plans, and a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration
Guide development lifecycles, ensuring timely, secure, and reliable delivery of software solutions
Champion best practices in software development, architecture, and DevOps tailored for the insurance industry
Apply deep understanding of Life, Health, and Annuity insurance operations, regulatory requirements, and market trends
Leverage prior experience at L&H / Annuity carriers or vendor partners to inform technology and process decisions
Drive modernization and adoption of new technologies to enhance operational efficiency
Translate complex challenges into simple, scalable solutions that positively impact insurers and their clients
Qualification
Required
Proven experience as a Director of Technology, Head of Engineering, or equivalent managing software developers
Significant domain knowledge in Life, Health, and Annuity insurance, with prior carrier or vendor partner experience strongly preferred
Track record of successfully delivering software in regulated insurance environments
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Familiarity with SaaS platforms, cloud technologies, APIs, and modern software development practices
