Branch Operations Manager - Commercial Lines
Insurance Office of America is seeking a Branch Operations Manager for their Birmingham location. The role involves leading insurance operations management activities, managing team performance, and ensuring effective financial and human resource management within the branch.

Responsibilities
Direct daily activities and workflow of the branch team
Drive annual strategic and tactical plans
Manage branch P&L, control costs, and achieve financial goals
Understand and manage the annual budget
Communicate leadership vision/mission for the branch
Build and manage a qualified operations team
Participate in recruitment and evaluate merger/acquisition opportunities
Recommend staff actions, including acquisition and succession planning
Ensure compliance with HR processes and policies
Establish and monitor productivity, efficiency, quality, and service standards
Encourage growth and development of personnel
Develop future branch operations leaders
Promote IOA culture and improve engagement
Identify gaps and implement corrective actions
Monitor and interpret performance data
Maintain communication with Regional Director of Operations and sales leadership
Resolve operational issues with Branch 1099 sales personnel
Spend 50% of time managing an assigned book of business
Develop and ensure compliance with core work processes
Implement and enforce company policies
Maintain high technical competence and industry expertise
Continuously improve management and leadership skills
Develop and maintain positive relationships with IOA leadership and employees
Demonstrate integrity and leadership
Qualification
Required
5+ years of industry experience with deep, wide-ranging industry knowledge
2+ years of management experience
All required active licensing
Exceptional Account Management skills, spending 50% of time managing a book of business
Outstanding communication, people management, and negotiation skills
Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
High School Diploma (or equivalent)
