NEOGOV is looking for part-time, temporary lifeguards to maintain safety at the Campbell Community Center swimming pool. The role involves conducting rescue operations, administering CPR and First Aid, teaching swim lessons, and ensuring effective communication with patrons and supervisors.

Responsibilities

Conduct rescue operations

Administer Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), First Aid and Automated External Defibrillation (AED) in emergency situations

Attend in-service trainings

Teach swim lessons to all ages and abilities

Interact professionally and communicate effectively with swimmers of all ages and the general public

Write reports

Check in patrons

Organize pool equipment for all aquatic programs

Represent the City and the Department in a positive and effective manner

Maintain effective communication with supervisor and participants

Enforce all City of Campbell and Campbell Recreation and Community Services Department policies and procedures

Qualification

American Red Cross LifeguardingCPR/AED CertificationFirst Aid CertificationDeep Water LifeguardingCommunication Skills

Required

Minimum age at time of hire is 15 years old. (Work permit will be required under 18 years of age)

Proof of a negative Tuberculosis (TB) test or the certification form is required prior to employment date

Two (2) Letters of Recommendation are required to apply for this position. If you do not have Letters of Recommendations, reference calls can be made in lieu of Letters of Recommendation
