Environmental Project Assessor, part time as needed (BVTA)

Bureau Veritas Group is looking for an Environmental Project Assessor to conduct Phase I Environmental Site Assessments and write technical reports. The role involves performing assessments nationwide, interviewing key personnel, conducting screenings, and delivering detailed reports.

Responsibilities

Performing Environmental Site Assessments (ESA’s) nationwide as well as other property related services
Conducting interviews with property owners, occupants, key site personnel and local government officials to obtain information concerning the environmental conditions related to the property and adjacent properties
Performing limited screenings for the presence of asbestos, lead-based paint, radon, and lead in drinking water. Screenings may include collection of samples
Writing reports, taking into consideration any unique client scope requirements, which convey the environmental assessment and provide exhibits which illustrate or clarify information presented in the body of the report

Required

Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university in related field (Environmental Science/Engineering); minimum of three years of related experience performing Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESA's). In lieu of degree, five years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Valid driver's license required with no significant MVA points/violations (clean driving record)
Personal credit sufficient to charge business travel expenses of up to $3,000 required
Current AHERA, Asbestos Inspector Certification, or OSHA-40-hour certification
Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job
Must pass a background check / drug screen
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
