Responsibilities
Represent clients in court appearances, depositions, arbitrations, and litigation matters
Handle cases involving torts, auto liability, bodily injury, property damage, premises liability, and general liability
Manage caseload effectively:
Assume roughly half of incoming files during onboarding
Full Capacity: Approximately 70–85 files (varies by business need)
Prepare for trials (though trial frequency is not high)
Collaborate with a small legal team (2 attorneys total, including this role)
Qualification
Required
Must be licensed to practice law in Delaware
Minimum 2+ years of relevant legal experience
Experience in insurance defense, personal injury litigation, or similar areas
Strong skills in litigation, arbitration, depositions, and file management
Courtroom advocacy and trial preparation
Strong deposition and arbitration experience
Litigation expertise in personal injury and insurance defense
Caseload and file management skills
Preferred
Staff Counsel or Insurance Defense (Personal Injury) experience
Candidates from State Attorney's Offices may also be successful
