This role is integral to a five-year leadership development program designed for high-potential youth from under-resourced areas of Los Angeles, where the counselor will guide participants through their first-year experience at camp and foster their growth into future leaders.

Responsibilities
Supervise and engage with groups of teens aged 13-14 during a variety of camp activities
Facilitate leadership development programs and activities that align with the C5LA mission
Actively participate in all camp initiatives, both indoors and outdoors, to ensure a holistic experience for participants
Create a supportive and enjoyable environment that encourages personal growth, responsibility, and self-confidence among campers
Qualification
Required
Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to facilitate participatory and educational activities in a dynamic camp setting
Enthusiasm for outdoor adventures and team collaboration
Preferred
Experience working with youth in a leadership or mentoring role is preferred
A genuine commitment to the mission of C5LA and the development of young individuals
Previous experience in camp counseling is beneficial but not mandatory
