They are seeking a Surgical Clinical Reviewer whose main responsibility is to collect and submit reliable data to the ACS NSQIP, while also identifying opportunities for clinical quality improvement in collaboration with the Department of Surgery.

Responsibilities

Collect and submit reliable data to the ACS NSQIP
Compile, document, and enter data into the ACS NSQIP database for all eligible surgeries
Work closely with the Department of Surgery to identify opportunities for clinical quality improvement and special projects
Participate in quality programs related to NSQIP/HPB/HRGI
Provide information regarding NSQIP for hospital quality improvement to management

Qualification

Required

Bachelor of Science degree in nursing
Current license to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas or eligibility to do so
Completion of SCR training program through ACS NSQIOP required within 6 months of hire
Minimum of one year experience in one of the following settings: hospital surgery department, surgery clinic, clinical research, or medical records
Clinical chart review and abstraction experience
