Director of Revenue Cycle Management
MOHR Talent is supporting a major healthcare organization in central New Jersey dedicated to improving mental health and promoting healthy lifestyles. They are seeking a Director of Revenue Cycle Management to lead a full operational turnaround of the billing and collections function, focusing on improving cash flow, reducing denials, and ensuring compliance.

Responsibilities
Assess current revenue cycle processes and identify gaps in billing, collections, and reimbursement
Build and execute a recovery plan to improve cash flow, reduce aged A/R, and strengthen billing accuracy
Set and monitor KPIs to track performance and drive accountability across the revenue cycle
Oversee all billing functions: registration, insurance verification, charge capture, coding, claims submission, payment posting, and denial management
Lead self-pay operations, including payment plans, communication workflows, and collection strategies
Partner with clinical, intake, and administrative teams to improve documentation and billing workflows
Ensure timely and accurate claim submission across Medicare, Medicaid, MCOs, and commercial payers
Analyze billing data to identify trends, root causes of denials, and areas for improvement
Resolve complex billing issues, payer disputes, and escalated patient inquiries
Manage billing staff and external/offshore RCM resources, providing training and ongoing performance oversight
Lead system improvements and serve as the point person for EHR billing issues
Produce regular revenue cycle reports for leadership and the CFO
Maintain compliance with all regulatory and internal billing policies
Foster a culture of accuracy, transparency, and continuous improvement
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or related field
5+ years of hands-on experience with Medicare, Medicaid, MCO, and commercial insurance billing
3+ years of supervisory or management experience in revenue cycle operations
Expert knowledge of RCM operations, payer rules, reimbursement standards, and billing regulations
Strong understanding of CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10, and medical billing terminology
Advanced analytical ability for A/R reconciliation, trend analysis, and performance reporting
Proficient in EHR billing systems, clearinghouses, and Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
Strong background in self-pay billing, patient financial engagement, and collection workflows
Ability to resolve complex billing disputes and reduce denials at scale
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including cross-department collaboration
Strong leadership presence with the ability to build structure and drive accountability
