They are seeking an Accounting Consultant at the Controller level to join their growing Financial Operations practice, where the role involves building client relationships and assisting with various accounting tasks such as reconciliations and month-end reporting.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain relationships with Current and prospective clients

Interact with BPC members in Financial Operations and other practice areas of the firm to coordinate excellent delivery

Assist with reconciliations, month end reporting, preparing clients for audit, cleaning up their books, and assisting their department with integration of merger and acquisition data

Interact directly with the client contact (CFO, Controller) and their staff

Provide project status updates, feedback, and thoughtful insights into client challenges for your delivery manager

Required

6+ years of hands-on full-cycle accounting experience

B.A. or B.S. required, Accounting or Finance degrees preferred

Strong desire for consulting-style work and delivering excellent customer service

Industry experience in start-ups, technology, software, oilfield services, insurance and Big Four/public accounting is highly preferred

Experience with monthly close procedures, monthly and quarterly financial reporting

Recent hands-on experience with routine accounting processes such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, and cash management

Hands-on experience with accounting software (i.e. QuickBooks, NetSuite, Great Plains or Intacct)

Ability to adapt to various client environments, and communicate effectively at all levels within the organization

Demonstration of a strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, experience researching technical GAAP issues

Past experience working in small to mid-sized company environment with the ability to multi-task and wear several hats
