Responsibilities

Individual contributor position working on new product development of test equipment
Develop specifications, requirements, and validation plans
Detail design of mechanical parts to support design requirements (sheetmetal/machined parts)
Define and perform verification testing to ensure quality of mechanical design
Documentation of components and assemblies

Required

5+ years of relevant experience with electro-mechanical design
Ability to take product requirements and develop detailed design solutions with minimal oversight
Ability to present proposed solutions to other design engineers and manufacturing engineers
Perform DFM with vendors
Prepare final drawings and BOMs for fabrication
Build initial prototypes of the proposed design to complete validation
Perform any required design verification
Ability to work with a team
Ability to communicate effectively in a remote environment
Curious, self-starter, and eager to take on new challenges
Familiar with Solidworks (or similar) and PDM tools
Familiar with sheetmetal / machined part design
Familiar with stress/strain analysis and FEA
Able to prepare presentations explaining work and design proposal to remote teams
Familiar with remote collaboration tools (Teams, Webex, Zoom, etc.)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work successfully with a team
BS or MS in mechanical engineering or related field

Preferred

Experience with Semiconductor wafer handling equipment, probe cards, or related
Experience with precision mechanical design (for example, optical alignment mechanisms)
General mechanism design
Mass terminated coaxial cable assembly design
