Responsibilities

Collaborate with various individuals within and outside the firm’s Finance Department regarding workflow and other issues

Organize and manage case files with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring all documents and materials are properly filed and maintained

Engage with clients to gather information, provide updates, and ensure they have a clear understanding of the status of their matters

Utilize legal software such as iManage for document management

Develop and maintain records regarding billable hours spent on specific matters

Perform other similar or related duties, not specifically included within this position description, but which are consistent with the general level of the responsibilities described

Required

A minimum of 3 years Paralegal experience required; experience with Connecticut law required

Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and client service skills

Knowledge of, and experience with court rules, practices and procedures

Strong attention to detail

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related software

Perform in a high-level, fast paced environment with minimal supervision

Strong work ethic and self-driven attitude, with a willingness to take initiative and be hands-on

Preferred

Bachelor's Degree and/or paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program are preferred
