Collect and submit billing data
Enter data into the computer database
Locate and resolve routine problems
Track claim and billing activity
Ensure that patient accounts are accurately reviewed and prepared for timely billing
Verify documentation and confirm payer information
Address potential claim denials
Collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless billing processes

Qualification

Billing experiencePayer policies knowledgeClaim submission processesClerical experienceProblem-solving skills

Required

1+ year general clerical experience in performing billing related functions, preferably in a health care facility environment or a physician's office
High School Diploma, GED, or an equivalent combination of related education and work experience
Problem-solving skills to identify and address potential billing issues

Preferred

1 year of hospital billing experience
Knowledge of payer policies and claim submission processes
