Imaging Service Engineer I

Intelas is seeking an Imaging Service Engineer I to support clinical departments by responding to equipment-related issues and performing maintenance on imaging devices. The role involves repair, installation, and calibration of various imaging systems while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

Respond expeditiously to calls from clinical departments, and/or customers to evaluate and rectify valid operator complaints and concerns
May assist senior imaging specialists or supervisor with in-service educational training on the proper use and operator maintenance of equipment
Repair, install, maintain, calibrate, and inspect a diverse range of therapeutic and diagnostic imaging devices and systems, including planned maintenance and electrical safety testing. Diagnose, correct, and repair system and equipment malfunctions
Maintain an orderly and functional working environment, ensuring tools and test equipment are calibrated and are in good working order before use, and follow the 5S methodology
Participate in assigned on-call services in accordance with contractual guidelines and/or departmental policies
Flexibility to work augmented shifts based on the unit’s needs to meet with client’s contractual requirements
Conduct incident investigation, inspect and test malfunctioning equipment to determine course of malfunction, following learned procedures and manual instructions, using specialized test and analysis instruments and manufacturer’s specifications
Perform major repairs by replacing defective components, glassware and readjust components to manufacturer’s specifications using appropriate tools and measuring instruments. May require certification in order to complete repairs
Utilizes specialized knowledge and training to perform system calibrations within area of expertise. (i.e.- Rad, RF, Mammo, Nuc Med, CT, MR, or Ultrasound)
Confers with supervisor, other Imaging Technicians, manufacturer’s representatives and equipment operators to resolve equipment related problems
Research and initiate orders for repair parts, working with the supervisor and/or the Technical Resource Center; demonstrate ability to effectively find second-source parts
Provide accurate and timely database management of the CMMS in accordance with our Quality Management System and related policies and procedures
Schedule and oversee third-party service as necessary
Individual will be expected to participate in huddles, meetings, seminars, training, workshops, and conferences as required
Perform other duties as assigned that are intrinsic to the successful operation of the account and the company

Required

Associates degree in biomedical equipment technology, electronic equipment technology, or military training
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted
Three (3) years of imaging and/or biomedical experience servicing clinical/patient care equipment in a hospital, clinic, or service environment to include manufacturer-related experience

Preferred

Formal radiology training and/or certifications(s) preferred i.e., CBET, CRES, etc
