Responsibilities
Defining and maintaining the enterprise architecture roadmap
Establishing architectural standards and best practices
Guiding technology strategy across product lines
Leading the design of scalable, resilient, and secure distributed systems that power Conga’s core platform
Ownership of high-level architecture for APIs, data pipelines, integration frameworks, identity management, and observability
Mentoring and leading a team of architects while partnering closely with engineering leaders
Working alongside product management to evaluate feasibility and define technical direction
Collaborating with security, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to ensure architectures meet reliability and compliance requirements
Guiding architecture and design reviews, creating reusable patterns and reference architectures, and promoting engineering quality through documentation and oversight
Ensuring architectures support strong security, compliance, disaster recovery, and business continuity, balancing innovation with pragmatic execution to meet delivery timelines
Setting a clear architectural vision while staying grounded in execution
Communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Building strong cross-functional partnerships
Guiding teams through complex architectural decisions with clarity and confidence
Qualification
Required
12–15+ years of software engineering experience, including 7+ years in architecture leadership roles
Proven track record architecting scalable, cloud-native SaaS platforms
Experience leading enterprise-level modernization and architectural transformation efforts
Private Equity experience. You've operated in a private equity–backed environment and understand the pace, rigor, and expectations that come with value creation, operational discipline, and scaling for growth
Deep expertise in distributed systems, microservices, API design, cloud infrastructure, and data architecture
Experienced with platforms such as AWS, Azure, and/or GCP
Ability to balance high-level strategy with hands-on problem solving when needed
You're a senior technology leader who knows how to set a clear architectural vision while staying grounded in execution
Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Ability to build strong cross-functional partnerships
Ability to guide teams through complex architectural decisions with clarity and confidence
Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and understand how to balance innovation with stability as platforms scale
Preferred
Experience with multi-tenant SaaS, event-driven systems, or real-time integrations
Background in DevOps, SRE, or security architecture
Domain expertise in industries such as FinTech, HealthTech, or AI/ML
