Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer - Armed Transportation Station Patrol in Los Angeles, CA. The role involves monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to deter security-related incidents and create a welcoming environment for clients in various industries, particularly government.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism

Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the government location and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards

Monitor access points and verify credentials to help to prevent unauthorized entry

Complete detailed reports on incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal policies and client expectations

Work closely with local law enforcement and emergency responders when required, following established protocols

Maintain visibility throughout the assigned area to help to deter unwanted activity and provide reassurance to employees and visitors

Remain alert and observant at all times while performing assigned duties in varying environments and conditions

Qualification

Armed guard cardBaton certificationHigh school diplomaSecurity training programs

Required

Possess an armed guard card or license

Be at least 21 years of age

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law

Participate in industry-specific security training programs

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
