Material Handler - 1st Shift (Seasonal)

Barnes & Noble, Inc. is seeking a Material Handler for their distribution center in Monroe Township. The Material Handler will perform various tasks to ensure efficient material flow, including lifting, loading, and unloading products, while adhering to safety protocols.

Retail

Responsibilities

Adhere to all safety protocols and foster a safe work environment
Palletize, put away and ship product in a timely and accurate manner
Work on the warehouse floor which includes repeated lifting, bending, and reaching up to 50 lbs. and ability to stand for long periods of time in any area as needed
Is able to rotate within all material handler functions including but not limited to loading and unloading, providing trays and case pack materials within the Packing Department and other duties as assigned
Work with a sense of urgency and care, assuring individual and department daily production goals are met or exceeded
Assist new hires and department transfers in a friendly and approachable manner with any questions they may have
Communicate in a positive manner with all booksellers and members of management with any questions or concerns
Comply with all company policies and procedures
Flexible with schedule required during peak season as business needs arise
