Senior Program Manager, Business Partnerships

Humane World for Animals, a global leader in animal advocacy and protection, is seeking a Senior Program Manager, Business Partnerships for the Business Development department. In this position, you will manage corporate relationships and partnership fulfillment, drive corporate activations, and support the planning and execution of the More Than a Pet campaign.

Responsibilities

Manages complete partnership activation and fulfillment for national campaign sponsors, cause marketing partners, trademark licensees, and various corporate giving models to increase fundraising support for Humane World for Animals. Leverages organizational brand visibility through corporate partner marketing and media efforts to generate incremental revenue and visibility. Provides strategic thought leadership and innovative ideas for marketing and communication projects, campaigns, and plans that advance corporate partner and organizational impact goals
Serves as main point of contact for all day-to-day partnerships needs for assigned corporate partners. Responds to new business partnership inquiries and evaluates viability, profitability and impact potential. Seeks and develops revenue opportunities through existing partnerships, as appropriate. Attend and support partner planning and activation meetings (some paid travel required)
Oversees partnership fulfillment and tracking. Develops partnership impact and KPI tracking reports for corporate partners and internal stakeholders. Manages content, activations, and announcements through internal review and approval process. Tracks and communicates partner approvals, revisions, and feedback. Maintains awareness of partner competition, market dynamics, and industry trends, and shares this key intelligence across the team
Identifies, secures, and oversees corporate in-kind contributions, including developing and managing a robust pipeline through proactive prospecting and capture management. Takes a hands-on approach to cultivating and building relationships with potential in-kind sources. Coordinates and tracks all corporate in-kind contributions-currently averaging more than $30 million annually in donated goods and services-and manages the internal processes and systems for tracking, reporting, and maximizing the impact of these gifts across the organization
Drafts and routes contracts for assigned business partnerships. Manages invoicing, records all partnership activities accurately and in a timely manner in the CRM system. Coordinates closely with Office of General Counsel, Communications & Brand, Program, and Channel teams as needed to ensure compliance and accuracy
Manages departmental budgets for campaign and partnership activations and fulfillments. Prepares renewal strategies, proposals, and term sheets as needed. Provides timely performance and revenue reports to Vice President and Senior Managing Director. Creates leadership briefing materials for activations, events and sponsorship opportunities. Coordinates marketing and communications needs supporting business development priorities beyond campaign and direct partner management as needed

Required

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or another related degree, or equivalent work experience, required
A minimum of five (5) or more years of corporate development and/or corporate sales experience required
Demonstrated knowledge and experience with corporate giving practices, business industries and brands, and trends, familiar with brand marketing, PR, social media, experiential promotions, and creative approaches to bring partnerships to life
Demonstrated ability in relationship management. Able to build relationships across sectors and teams, at every level of an organization
Experience in content development and ability to communicate effectively in writing, on the phone, and in person
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong computer skills using Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Office, including Microsoft PowerPoint
Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines; high energy, self-motivated and proactive
Capable of representing Humane World for Animals, as appropriate, at partner functions, industry conferences, etc
Ability to multitask and be flexible with regard to workload and assignments
Ability to exercise sound judgment
Attention to detail and commitment to excellence, demonstrated by the delivery of quality and timely outcomes
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams, both internal and external, as an effective team member in a team environment

Preferred

Eight (8) years of corporate development and/or corporate sales experience preferred
Experience in customer or client management, cause marketing, and/or charitable sponsorships preferred
Experience using a project management system, JIRA, and CRM databases preferred
Strong interest in animal protection issues preferred
