Advanced Systems Integration and Test Engineer

The Advanced Systems Integration and Test Engineer will participate in technical planning, develop testing methods, and ensure the evaluation of new systems and products throughout the engineering lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Design, development, and implement cost-effective testing methods
Generate technical engineering products using appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools
Execute test approaches and document system verification throughout the engineering development lifecycle
Isolate and document issues and defects
Generate system test work products by applying appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools
Design test and diagnostic programs, design test fixtures and equipment, and complete specifications and procedures for new products
Develop and conduct functional, environmental, operational, and/or performance tests on hardware, software, and systems
Frequent contact with managers within and outside of Engineering
Recognized internally and/or externally as a subject matter expert (SME) in a particular technical area
Establish benchmarks for repeated operations and track performance improvements driving down cost of test
Proactively assess maintenance needs for Special Test Equipment and other customer owned test assets to ensure continuous flow of hardware

Required

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related Science, Technology or Mathematics field
5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience
Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire
U.S. citizenship is required

Integration and Test of RF and GPS/Navigation hardware
Creative thinker with demonstrated success leading the integration and test life cycle
Collaborative team player eager to provide technical leadership and position others for success
Exceptional communication, presentation, and influence management skills, with notable record of securing buy-in on concepts and ideas
Experienced in the art of negotiation with ability to meet challenging customer requirements with win-win solutions
Demonstrated ability to interface with program management and customers
Commitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and others
Familiarity and experience working in SAFE Agile process
Advanced knowledge of test principles, theories and concepts. Experience planning, coordinating, and executing large system level test activities
Domain experience in RF and GPS and Navigation system test and integrations efforts
Creative thinker with demonstrated success leading challenging technical solutions and working closely with stakeholders to manage risk, opportunities, and conflict resolution
Ability to thrive in a highly interactive team environment
