Responsibilities
Coordinate the maintenance, repair and flow of equipment
Manage and establish a cost effective supply distribution system by evaluating and monitoring supply storage, back orders and pricing while maintaining adequate quantities of supplies
Interact with hospital end-users and vendors providing assistance to the end-user in procuring non-routine, non-standard goods and services
Identify the most appropriate vendor for supplies and services utilizing approved vendors whenever possible, following policies, standards, and procedures and referencing any existing contracts
Qualification
Required
Require two (2) years of related experience, preferably in a health care setting
HS EQ: High School Diploma, GED or Certificate
Preferred
Prefer a team player and self-starter who is accurate and detail oriented
Prefer demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Prefer demonstrated ability to prioritize a variety of duties
Prefer demonstrated ability to take initiative and solve problems with little or no assistance
Prefer proficiency in the use of software, including Excel, along with prior experience with PeopleSoft
Prefer demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and timetables
Prefer knowledge of budgets, accounting, and medical terminology
Prefer knowledgeable in healthcare purchasing and distribution
AD: Associate's Degree
