Responsibilities

Own the end-to-end solution design process
Lead technical discovery, navigating the nuances of insurance Carrier, MGA, and Wholesale business models or Employee Benefits to map complex client need to Patra’s service frameworks
Create clear, compelling proposals
Serve as the central integration point for solution design
Lead cross-functional validation to ensure every solution is optimized for impact and profitability, confirming that feasibility, scope, and cost align before handoff
Participate in post-sale activation of deals to ensure solutions remain economically beneficial
Clearly communicate the solution design, client expectations, and defined scope
Monitor the sales pipeline to prioritize solutioning efforts, drive key deals, and accurately forecast resource needs
Develop and maintain a library of reusable solution blueprints and pre-sales assets to improve sales velocity and consistency
Provide expert technical input and structured content for complex RFP/RFI responses
Channel key feedback to internal teams, acting as the ‘Voice of the Specialty Market’ to help shape future service strategy and differentiation

Required

Deep Specialty Market DNA: You understand the language, business processes, pain points, and technologies of the specialty market because you have lived them
Solution Architecture: A track record of designing complex solutions within a B2B professional services or financial services environment
Commercial Acumen: Experience writing and reviewing RFPs/RFIs, managing scope, and understanding the financial (cost/profit) implications of a solution
Service Expertise: Knowledge of Patra's service suite (or similar BPO/BPM/Insurtech services) and the technical requirements to engage with them
Industry Background: Direct, hands-on experience in insurance, Insurtech, or business process management prior to moving into pre-sales
Communication: Strong presentation skills, with the ability to build trust and explain complex concepts to diverse audiences, from insurance experts to C-level executives
Collaboration: A cross-functional mindset that balances sales goals with delivery realities

Preferred

3+ years of experience in a pre-sales solutions consulting, or solutions architect role
Relevant industry certifications
