Conexwest is looking for an entry level diesel mechanic to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on gas and diesel engines. The role involves troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems, as well as conducting inspections and repairs in a safe and efficient manner.

Responsibilities

Identify problems with mechanical, diesel & electrical systems and executes solutions
Must have knowledge of record-keeping and ordering parts & supplies
Perform all levels of preventive maintenance services on truck and trailer equipment
Maintain a safe and clean work environment following all safety procedures
Fleet daily troubleshoot, repair & general maintenance
California 90 day BIT & Federal USDOT inspections
On-Site repairs, Travel to location and travel to get parts needed for repairs

Required

Strong attention to detail and time management
Proficiency in hydraulic diagnosis & electronic diagnosis, troubleshooting, and reading diagrams
Valid Driver's License with a clean record
Must be able to work with little or no supervision and as a team
Strong research skills and the ability to figure out unconventional problems
Min. 1 year experience in Diesel engine truck repair
Min. 1 year experience in Air brakes
Min. 1 year experience in Forklift Repair
Min. 1 year experience in Hydraulic System repair (cylinders, hoses, etc)
Min. 1 year experience in Clutch repair
Min. 1 year experience in Electrical repair
Min. 1 year experience in Engine Diagnostic
Min. 1 year experience in DEF System repair

Preferred

Specialised training in the repair and replacement of vehicle components
