They are seeking a Power Market Analyst to support the commercial operations of their storage portfolio, focusing on asset contracts, market regulations, and process improvements.

Responsibilities
Serve as the subject matter expert for assigned asset contracts, including counterparty relationships and power market settlement processes
Ensure timely execution and delivery of contracted obligations in close coordination with the asset management team
Monitor power market rule and regulation changes, assessing their impact on operational assets
Contribute to the creation, maintenance, and interpretation of daily reports and model outputs to support the optimization of storage assets
Proactively identify and implement process improvements to enhance scalability and support the growth of the Aypa development pipeline
Support the Asset Optimization Team with market intelligence, strategy analysis and asset bidding as needed
Perform ad-hoc projects and duties as required or assigned
Qualification
Required
B.S. in Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field is required
Strong MS Excel skills
Knowledge of statistics
Basic analytical skills required to interpret complex contract structures
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Solid ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasked environment
Detail-oriented, and questioning attitude
Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment, including a creative and proactive work ethic
Ability to oversee, and personally execute numerous projects simultaneously, work well under pressure, and adjust to changing priorities
Preferred
Python, SQL or other data analysis skills preferred
1+ Years Experience working with at least one US power market (CAISO and/or ERCOT market experience preferred)
