Responsibilities
Own and execute the monthly accounting close process for investment and capital markets activity, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
Perform rigorous review detail-oriented review of complex journal entries, reconciliations, and key disclosure schedules
Oversee ongoing operational accounting for AFS and HTM securities, as well as funding activities such as repos and other liquidity initiatives
Support derivatives and hedge accounting processes
Assist in system implementation activities for the treasury management system, including SOX control oversight, operational testing, and process enhancements
Respond to inquiries from SEC Reporting, Regulatory Reporting, and external auditors regarding investments and derivatives
Contribute to other operational support and ad hoc initiatives to strengthen overall accounting processes
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance
8+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience; experience with securities and derivatives accounting preferred
Proven ability to review complex data with exceptional detail orientation in a high transaction volume environment
Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Demonstrated ability to manage tight monthly close processes and communicate complex information clearly
Preferred
CPA and/or CFA strongly preferred
Experience with securities and derivatives accounting preferred
Operational accounting experience within banking, financial services, or treasury functions preferred
Experience with Calypso or similar Treasury Management Systems is a strong plus
PeopleSoft or other ERP experience a plus
Experience with Alteryx, SQL, or similar data tools a plus
