This role is responsible for the strategic execution, management, and optimization of hospital-wide information technology infrastructure and operations, ensuring the delivery of secure, reliable, and high-performing IT services that support patient care and clinical excellence.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the CDIO on strategic planning and execution of IT operations across data centers, networks, end-user computing, and enterprise applications
Co-develop and execute the hospital infrastructure technology roadmap supporting clinical, operational, and digital transformation goals
Establish, monitor, and report on operational KPIs aligned to service excellence, reliability, and uptime
Oversee 24/7 IT operations including service desk, infrastructure, network, data center, and device management
Implement and mature ITIL-based service management practices to ensure consistency, accountability, and continuous improvement
Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and SLAs for hardware, software, and managed services
Lead system monitoring, performance optimization, and capacity planning across all technology platforms
Direct, mentor, and develop IT managers and staff to foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence
Define and execute workforce development and succession plans aligned with emerging hospital technologies and operational demands
Ensure compliance with HIPAA, HITECH, Joint Commission, CMS, and other applicable regulatory standards
Oversee business continuity and disaster recovery (BC/DR) programs, including incident response planning and failover testing
Develop and manage IT operations budgets, including capital planning, cost controls, and ROI analysis
Prioritize and execute technology initiatives using disciplined project management and governance practices
Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies to improve efficiency, reliability, and patient-centered outcomes

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
Minimum of 10 years of progressive IT leadership experience
At least 5 years in healthcare IT operations management

Master's Degree
Meditech Experience a plus
