PCTEL is seeking a Sr Test Technician to provide technical production leadership for RF-based electronics products. The role involves calibrating, testing, and configuring electronic products to meet performance specifications and schedules, as well as debugging and repairing field returned products.

Responsibilities

Calibrates, tests and configures electronic products according to production procedures and sales orders
Ensures production schedule commitments are met, including both new orders and repair and calibration services
Performs test operations from written and/or verbal instructions with minimal supervision
Performs hardware debug of failed assemblies; troubleshoot to board level
Performs hardware debug of failed circuit boards; troubleshoot to component level
Set up and operates a variety of automatic and semi-automatic test and / or repair equipment
Responsible for test station calibration and resolution of issues, including hardware and software
Ensure test yield and repair data is captured
Provides feedback to management on any potential quality issue

Required

Associate's degree in Electronics Technology, or similar, or equivalent work experience
Ten years related work experience
Advanced understanding and troubleshooting digital, analog and RF electronics
Intermediate experience with conducting tests on electronic equipment and on software applications
Intermediate experience in the use of test equipment such as power supplies, multi-meters, signal generators, spectrum analyzers and oscilloscopes
Ability to read schematics, data sheets, assembly drawings, Bills of Materials and rework documents
Experience working within a production environment
Strong organizational, problem-solving and multitasking skills
Intermediate skills in MS Office Suite
Regular use of keyboard
Regular walking, standing and/or sitting
Frequently works in an area with drafts, noise, temperature variations etc
Able to lift/carry up to 30lb
Occasionally travel

Preferred

Experience managing technicians a plus
Experience working within an ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System a plus
