Assistant Registrar

Touro University is seeking a full-time Assistant Registrar for its Great Falls, Montana campus to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Office of the Registrar. The role involves providing customer service to students, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with various administrative tasks related to student information and registration.

Responsibilities

Assists with daily office responsibilities
Provides quality customer service to students related to registration, add/drop, personal data changes, and educating students about policies and procedures
Responsible for inputting and ensuring accuracy of the course schedules created by the academic departments and deans for class registration
Reviews and records immunization documentation required for enrollment
Assists academic/faculty advisors, deans, and student services coordinators with course access issues and concerns
Communicates with Admissions, Financial Aid, and Bursar regarding student admission decisions, holds, and clearances
Records transfer credit requests, if needed
Performs preliminary degree completion audits and enters graduation applications, as needed
Reviews National Student Clearinghouse (NSCH) and updated records for all TouroCOM campuses
Receives, maintains, and organizes student files accordingly in a digitized format
Verifies student enrollment statuses, including loan deferments, insurance forms, full-time letters, State Board verifications, and degree verifications
Serves as School Certifying Official for the Montana VA/GI Bill programs
Works with IT to ensure school rosters and list servs are up to date
Assists with coordination of new student orientation and onboarding, including forms management and collection
Assists with campus form/correspondence creation, maintenance, and archiving
Exercises duties in accordance with FERPA as well as state and federal regulations
Support policies and procedures in the university catalog and program handbooks
All other duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's Degree required
The ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment without compromising accuracy is essential
Excellent data entry skills are required
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and strong interpersonal skills
Ability to develop positive and cooperative relationships with students, faculty, and colleagues
Customer service and teamwork orientated
Accuracy and productivity in completing tasks
Ability to solve problems and meet deadlines
Proven problem-solving skills with a strong sense of responsibility in meeting deadlines
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook

Preferred

Some equivalent work experience highly preferred
Knowledge of Banner system a plus
Knowledge of Family Educational & Rights & Privacy Act Regulations a plus
