IT Project Manager - Information Technology
Fort Bend County is ranked as one of the fastest growing counties in the nation, and they are seeking an IT Project Manager to lead and manage technology projects. The role involves communicating with stakeholders, managing project schedules and resources, and ensuring project goals are achieved through effective planning and execution.

Responsibilities
Communicates with stakeholders, project team and other stakeholders
Manages and maintains the project schedule, cost, resources, and risk
Proactively interacts with other project managers in ways to develop relationships that assist the team in achieving the goals and objects of the project
Manages project resources; Develops and maintains a Resource Management Plan
Coordinates production releases and rollouts, delegating tasks to the necessary project team members while managing and reporting on project progress and results
Uses project management tools to track project performance and schedule adherence
Manages projects through the five process groups: Initiation, Planning, Executing, Monitoring & Controlling and Closure
Performs additional duties and responsibilities as required
Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers
Qualification
Required
High School/GED and four years of relevant professional experience in addition to 10 years required experience may be substituted for the Bachelor's degree
10 years Information Technology experience preferably in business/systems analysis or quality assurance
Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills; Ability to develop and maintain the project management plan; Ability to create a detailed plan that represents how and when the project will deliver products, services, and results per the project scope
Ability to facilitate meetings with business owners, sponsors, and stakeholders
Excellent documentation skills; Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to manage complexity, and intellectual curiosity
Strong written and communications skills with attention to detail and ability to advance multiple projects with competing priorities and deadlines
Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills
Must obtain Project Management Professional Certification within 1 year of hire
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field preferred
Familiarity with system implementation best practices and methodologies
