Service Technician

Responsibilities

Ensures quality and consistency in processes by assessing, modifying, and/or calibrating equipment
Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves issues with equipment, devices, or products; uses precision instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to make adjustments
Maintains inventory
Assists customers with tasks related to current equipment
Maintains inventories, documentation, and reports including those outlining procedures, batch records, inventory, productivity, changeover, and progress
Ensures compliance with health and safety laws, regulations, and best practices
Performs other duties as assigned

Required

Associate degree, technical certification, or postsecondary certificate in related discipline preferred
Previous field experience equipment is highly desired
Previous work history of 2 to 3 years with a service-based organization preferred
Must have a valid, unexpired driver's license
Good driving record
Strong Mechanical and Problem-Solving Skills
Customer Service and Consultative Skills
General electrical knowledge
Strong work ethic with ability to work under minimal supervision
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven ability to clearly communicate with engineering, technical support, sales, and management
Thorough understanding of products and equipment used in manufacturing
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent time management skills, with proven ability to meet deadlines
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Preferred

Instrumentation skills are a plus
TIG/MIG Welding skills are a plus
Plastic Welding skills are a plus
Metal or plastic fabrication skills are a plus
