Business Development Manager
Emerson is a global leader in automation technology and software, and they are seeking a Business Development Manager to lead business development efforts for their Measurement Solutions Lifecycle Services and Engineered Solutions portfolio across North America. The role involves driving growth, strengthening customer relationships, and collaborating with global teams to deliver exceptional results in industries such as LNG, petrochemical, and sustainability.

Responsibilities
Achieve business performance goals by meeting or exceeding bookings targets across the North America region
Drive initiatives to grow the business with key customers, focusing on Liquefied Natural Gas, Petrochemical, and Sustainability segments
Increase revenue from the installed base through recurring contracts, upgrades, digital engagement, and “as-a-service” business models
Build strong relationships with EPCs, end users, and strategic accounts to ensure Emerson solutions are specified early in project stages
Collaborate with Sales Channels, Project Pursuit Teams, Strategic Account Leaders, and other internal partners to enhance customer relationships and drive growth
Represent Emerson at technical societies, industry conferences, and trade shows to strengthen brand visibility and market presence
Work closely with global Centers of Excellence and international teams to support proposals, project management, engineering, fabrication, and supply chain activities
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree is required
Relevant proven experience in sales leadership or business development, including key account management, capital project pursuit, and solutions selling within large, matrixed organizations commensurate with the level of this position
Technical proficiency in engineered solutions and lifecycle services, including knowledge of competitor offerings and market positioning
Knowledge of the automation industry, including instrumentation and control
Ability to travel domestically up to 50% (supporting the western region of the U.S.)
Authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, Chemical, Mechanical, Control, or Computer Engineering
Advanced degree in Business or Engineering Management
Experience with Emerson or Impact Partner products
