Responsibilities
Draft motions, pleadings, and other legal documents
Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategy
Take and defend depositions
Participate in all stages of trial preparation, including discovery, witness preparation, and courtroom advocacy
Assist in developing case strategy and counseling clients
Handle court appearances and argue motions as needed
Collaborate closely with partners and senior associates on complex litigation matters
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
3–6 years of experience in mass torts and/or product liability litigation
Strong written and oral advocacy skills
Experience drafting motions, taking and defending depositions, and managing discovery
Admitted to practice in Illinois
Preferred
Candidates with experience in other defense litigation practice areas within the 3–6-year range may be considered
Trial experience or a strong interest in trial work is a plus
