Territory Sales Manager - Midwestern Region (Remote)
Smithers-Oasis is a global leader in the manufacturing and marketing of floral and specialty foam products. They are seeking an experienced sales professional to manage their Midwest Sales Territory, responsible for promoting sales, developing customer relationships, and maintaining brand standards.

Responsibilities
Maintain Customer Relationships through timely communications, personal visits to customer sites, distribution of product sales information, and attendance at trade shows
Facilitate Internal Company Relationships by working with all internal Smithers-Oasis/Oasis Grower Solutions personnel/departments to assure optimum success of product sales and delivery
Travel with 50-70% of time devoted to on-road, in-person sales to develop key accounts, including distributors and key distributor-customer accounts
Develop New Customers through cold calls and prospecting, trade show and referral follow ups, and building a strong Zoho Sales pipeline
Communicate and Participate as a sales team member in individual and sales department meetings; reporting on territory and industry trends; providing pertinent/necessary information to multiple/appropriate departments as required; and utilizing CRM software recording all essential customer/contact information
Protect and Build Our Brand by consistently maintaining the standards of the Oasis Grower Solutions brand in the marketplace; expanding brand awareness and loyalty through customer education; providing technical support; and maintaining an active, professional presence on social media (LinkedIn)
Program Development through providing direction in sales planning; evaluating and pursuing new market opportunities; participating in new product development in conjunction with Research and Marketing departments; conducting field trials and demonstration trials with key accounts; assisting in data reporting
Sales Plan(s) Accountability for implementation of sales plan and quarterly presentations (including PowerPoint) to peers and management team to report on the status of plan, including detailed sales analysis, results and next steps
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of territory management experience in the horticulture or agriculture industries
Passionate about helping advance the growing industries, from floriculture and nursery to controlled-environment agriculture and AgBiotech
Ability to travel by car and airplane approximately 50% to 70% of the time
Highly motivated with a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Must be able to work independently and have strong organizational skills
Strong analytical skills with a technical understanding of products
Ability to effectively manage multiple products in fast paced team environment
Proficient computer skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook)
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree in a horticulture or agriculture field
Residence within the Midwest region of the United States
