Responsibilities
Prepare journal entries and analyze/reconcile accounts monthly
Produce and review monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting for trusts, private companies, credit funds, and individuals
Develop and maintain accounting policies and internal controls
Oversee cash management, including cash flow forecasting, bill payments, and coordination with financial institutions
Lead communication with external auditors and tax advisors; finalize audit schedules and resolve technical inquiries
Support budgeting and forecasting processes with the finance team
Provide expert guidance on financial implications and accounting treatment for business decisions
Maintain organized, standardized electronic filing and documentation systems
Manage special projects focused on modeling, systems, and process improvements
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
5–7 years of progressive accounting experience
Deep knowledge of GAAP and internal control frameworks
Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities
Excellent communication skills, including comfort presenting to executives
High integrity and discretion with sensitive financial information
The ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment with multiple deadlines
Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
Strong general ledger and month‑end/year‑end close experience
Preferred
Real Estate or Family Office experience is a plus
Yardi experience preferred
CPA is a plus but not required
