Leave and Accommodation Manager I
Prime Healthcare is an award-winning health system headquartered in Ontario, California, seeking to expand their corporate team. The Leave and Accommodation Manager I will manage high-volume employee leave and accommodation cases, ensuring compliance with various leave laws and providing guidance to employees and managers.
Responsibilities
Manage high-volume leave and accommodation cases from intake to return-to-work, including eligibility determination, documentation review, notifications, and benefits guidance
Lead the interactive process for medical and pregnancy accommodations under ADAA, PWFA, and California laws
Advise employees and managers on leave policies, pay impact, and compliance requirements
Serve as a hands-on leader, actively managing cases while mentoring and guiding team members
Qualification
Required
High school Diploma
Three (3) years' experience in Human Resources in a benefits, leave management or generalist related position, with a minimum two (2) years' experience in ADA/interactive process administration
Strong knowledge of federal and state disability laws, specifically ADAAA, FEHA and FMLA/CFRA; experience with CA leaves
Strong knowledge of the interplay between the FMLA/CFRA, workers' compensation, and the ADAAA
Strong knowledge and understanding of disability management, return-to-work strategies, ADAAA and related state and local statutes
Ability to analyze, problem solve, organize and manage multiple priorities, and effectively follow up in a fast-paced environment
Ability to build and maintain effective professional relationships through strong interpersonal skills including consistent demonstration of solid professional judgement
Strong written and verbal communication abilities, including effective presentation skills to all levels of the organization
Solid skills in Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
Experience working in a Healthcare environment with a high volume of accommodation cases
Overall understanding of associate benefits as they relate to leaves of absence, short/long term disability, COBRA, state disability pay, etc
Experience with Lawson, JBDev or leave case management software preferred
