Strong subject-matter expertise such as commercial contracting (including system improvements), intellectual property, energy efficiency and decarbonization in the industrial, commercial, agricultural, or governmental sectors, corporate governance and compliance, employment and benefits and/or information security and privacy

Ability to simplify complex issues for leadership

Plain-language drafting and negotiation skills

Strategic decision-making and judgment under ambiguity

Leadership mindset with ability to mentor and shape department and company systems

Digital fluency and comfort with technical tools, including legal tech tools

Qualification

Required

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction

8+ years of experience practicing law (in-house, private sector, or public sector)

Track record leading contract negotiations, anticipating risks and mitigating strategies, and advising all levels of leadership and employees in a collaborative manner

Demonstrated record of providing effective legal and business advice within area of specialized expertise for technology enabled products and/or software, intellectual property, governance, data privacy, or other specialized areas of law

Experience utilizing Microsoft 365 and other legal technology platforms to streamline workflows and ensure compliance
