Responsibilities

Performs Tier-4 network support in accordance with the SIE OPORD which requires an extensive background in networking technology
The Network Architect shall comprehensively review existing architectures on a regular basis, recommending and assisting with the design and implementation of systems and network improvements as required
This position shall troubleshoot the enterprise voice, video, cloud, and data networks and evaluate the impact of architectural changes on the network
The Network Architect shall follow designated network standards for the design, installation, and maintenance of LAN, WAN infrastructures, voice and data network systems, and advanced engineering
Planning, designing, engineering, configuring, maintaining, defending, troubleshooting, and repairing the Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN)
Triaging malware, LAN, WAN, VoIP infrastructures, voice and data network systems
Providing troubleshooting of enterprise WAN/MAN voice, data, and transmission networks and evaluating the effect of architectural changes on the network
Troubleshooting LAN voice and data networks and evaluate the effect of architectural changes on them
Assessing business and applications requirements for corporate data and voice networks
Planning, designing, and upgrading network installation projects
Establishing and maintaining backup, version-control and malware defense systems
Troubleshooting network architectures and recommending system fixes and enhancements
Making recommendations for leveraging network installations and reducing operational costs
Some positions may require shift work and/or an ability to work a non-standard work schedule to support the USSOCOM mission

Required

Min 16 years with HS degree, 14 years with AS/AA degree, 12 years with BS/BA, 10 years with MS/MA, 7 years with a PHD
DoD TS/SCI clearance
DoD 8570 IAT II Certification
Experience with network operating systems (e.g., Cisco, Novell and Windows Server), network hardware (e.g., routers, switches, cabling and other essential network hardware), and LAN/WAN protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP, MPLS)
Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills, along with strong interpersonal and leadership abilities
