Lead Data Scientist (Joint Cyber Readiness)

Responsibilities
Develops and implements new technologies, data science strategies, and managing projects related to the associated systems
Manages complex initiatives and applying a deep understanding of the latest data analysis trends and threats
Implements policies and procedures that meet industry standards to include common data architectures, parsing techniques, and standardized outputs
Manages complex projects on time and within budget
Works with cross-functional teams to identify new solutions, develop project plans, and manage resources to meet project requirements and timelines
Identify data sources, develops data models, and creates data visualizations and reports that provide insights to stakeholders
Plans work to be accomplished, set and adjust short-term priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in mathematics, statistics, computer science, data science or field directly related to the position
Courses equivalent to a major field of study (30 semester hours) as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education
One year of specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position
Developing new cyber technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and data analytics (DA)
Managing budget requirements and acquisitions to meet project timelines
Developing cyber data analytics solutions by applying knowledge of databases, data modeling, and data presentation
Reviewing the work of others for timeliness and accuracy
Ability to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET SCI clearance as a condition of employment
Ability to satisfactorily complete the appropriate training and obtain the required certification/recertification for this position as outlined in DoDM 8140.03 Cyberspace Workforce Qualification and Management Program
Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation
Three year trial/probationary period may be required
Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military and/or commercial aircraft up to 10% of the time
The incumbent may be recalled to duty, may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays, and may be required to work overtime
In accordance with DoDM 8140.03 and supplemental Army guidance, the employee must obtain and maintain the qualification requirements for each Cyber work role at the assigned proficiency level
