Human Resources Specialist (Reemployed Annuitant and ICTAP eligibles)
The U.S. Secret Service is seeking retirees of the Federal Employee Retirement System (FERS) or Civil Service Retirement System (CSRS) to support their mission. The role involves providing expert guidance in various human resources functions, including researching federal laws and improving operational processes.

Responsibilities
Researching and interpreting Federal laws and regulations, policies, and procedures to advise internal and external stakeholders on intent and application of concepts and principles relevant to the appropriate situations
Identifying ways to improve or enhance current best practices to ensure that management operational processes are effective in meeting the agency's goals and missions
Developing decision documents, memorandums, executive summaries, and other informational work products that inform managers and employees of human resources-related policies, procedures, or determinations
Consulting with managers and employee regarding human resources-related processes, procedures, and policies
Qualification
Required
Be a U.S. citizen
Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered for Selective Service
Obtain and maintain a Top-Secret Tier 5 clearance
Submit to a drug test prior to your appointment and random drug testing while you occupy the position
Submit a credit check after a conditional offer of employment has been accepted
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level performing duties such as providing human resources guidance to supervisors and managers, researching and interpreting Federal laws and regulations, policies, and procedures, utilizing automated HR systems to conduct research or generate analytics and reports, and advising on human resources concepts and best practices to perform human resources-related work

Full-time, part-time, or intermittent work schedules.
Receive overtime (on a full schedule). Overtime hours are counted towards maximum hour limitations.
