Environmental Engineer Manager
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking an experienced Environmental Engineer Manager to lead efforts in safeguarding the health and safety of citizens and the environment. This role involves overseeing staff, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, and managing the permit process related to Oil and Gas operations.

Responsibilities
Oversee staff by effectively organizing, prioritizing, and delegating tasks
Review all work conducted by subordinate staff to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures
Assign applications to permit reviewers to maintain an equitable distribution of workload
Evaluate the Record of Decision (ROD) to provide informed recommendations to the Program Manager
Propose new General Permits (GP) aimed at streamlining processes and alleviating workload pressures
Manage the permit process within your section to ensure that all goals and objectives are met while adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Guide the engineering and scientific staff regarding the conclusions and recommendations in their work products
Offer engineering advice on the application of relevant laws and regulations
Train new employees on their roles and responsibilities
Conduct regular staff meetings to keep the team informed of any changes and to address their concerns
Qualification
Required
Two years as an Environmental Engineer or an Air Quality Engineer (Commonwealth job titles or equivalent Federal Government job titles, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
Five years of professional engineering experience in environmental protection or in environmental project development, design or construction
This position requires possession of a valid Professional Engineer license issued by the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists or a valid Professional Engineer license issued by the applicable licensing body of another state
This position requires possession of a valid PA non-commercial Class C driver's license or equivalent
You must be able to perform essential job functions
