Responsibilities
Lead site acquisition strategy and execution for large-scale data center projects
Identify, evaluate, and secure new sites through expert negotiation and analysis
Oversee due diligence, permitting, and regulatory processes to ensure readiness and compliance
Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, landowners, utilities, and local authorities
Partner with development, finance, and legal teams to assess feasibility and drive deals to close
Mentor and lead a team of acquisition professionals while representing RDC at industry and community events
Qualification
Required
10+ years of experience in real estate, site acquisition, or development, ideally in data centers or mission-critical infrastructure
Proven success leading multi-site acquisition programs and cross-functional coordination from LOI through close
Deep expertise in U.S. real estate negotiations, land use, and entitlement processes
Strong due diligence experience across environmental, utilities, zoning, and permitting domains
Data center siting knowledge including power, fiber, cooling, and tax/incentive structures
Financial fluency in real estate underwriting, scenario modeling, and ROI analysis
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience in public and regulatory settings
Bachelor's degree required
Preferred
LEED or sustainability credential a plus
Master's or MBA preferred
