Responsibilities
Provide coverage for Emerging Markets Credit Trading business of global financial services firm, including LatAm financial institutions across the region
Use bond pricing tools, trading tools, brokers systems, and information systems to prepare ‘bid and offer’ prices to clients and counterparts
Work with internal Credit Sales and Research teams to develop trading ideas and strategies for external clients, including mean reversion
Manage bond risk in LatAm financial credits
Provide coverage as backup Trader for other traders on the LatAm corporate trading desk, as necessary
Develop trading ideas and trading strategies for clients, including mean reversion
Interact with a team of 5 other LatAm credit traders and analysts, to meet a budget of $15-$25mio annually
Manage risk responsibly within thresholds, market-making to clients, pitching trade ideas, mentoring junior traders and meeting target revenues
8% travel required to client sites domestically and internationally to develop and maintain client relationships

Collaboration with research analysts and other teams to gather insights and information for trading decisions

Manage, coordinate and enable resourcing, budgeting and policy creation for a significant sub-function
Escalates breaches of policies / procedure appropriately
Foster and guide compliance, ensure regulations are observed that relevant processes in place to facilitate adherence
Demonstrate extensive knowledge of how the function integrates with the business division / Group to achieve the overall business objectives
Maintain broad and comprehensive knowledge of industry theories and practices within own discipline alongside up-to-date relevant sector / functional knowledge, and insight into external market developments / initiatives
Use interpretative thinking and advanced analytical skills to solve problems and design solutions in often complex/ sensitive situations
Exercise management authority to make significant decisions and certain strategic decisions or recommendations within own area
Negotiate with and influence stakeholders at a senior level both internally and externally
Act as principal contact point for key clients and counterparts in other functions/ businesses divisions
