Responsibilities

Develop HVAC control drawings, schedules, submittals, sequences of operations, material lists, network layouts, electrical schematics, and as-built documentation; select hardware designs from multiple control vendors
Design HVAC control programs and Building Automation Systems tailored to project specifications
Collaborate closely with subcontractors, technicians, and mechanics to clarify agreements and coordinate scopes of work
Support the preparation of cost estimates and proposals; offer technical recommendations to enhance project outcomes
Manage material ordering and perform verification to ensure accuracy and availability
Provide guidance and support to field teams during installation and contract execution
Participate in and assist with the commissioning of control systems and related equipment
Offer technical assistance to design engineers and project managers throughout all phases of the project
Ensure safe operations in alignment with company policies and procedures; proactively work to reduce hazards and manage claims
Engage in continuous self-learning to stay ahead of industry trends and maintain proficiency in company standards, practices, and product lines; complete required certifications
Contribute actively to company programs, policies, and initiatives that promote organizational growth and success
Perform other duties as assigned

Required

Completion of a technical program in a related field, OR fulfillment of a related Jamar internship program
Must demonstrate strong technical aptitude and advanced computer proficiency, including expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat, Visio, and foundational Windows operating systems
Must possess in-depth knowledge of engineering principles, HVAC system design and commissioning, and a solid understanding of business operations within the building systems industry
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license in accordance with company's driving policy
Must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with proven interpersonal abilities to represent the company ethically and professionally, in alignment with its core values and mission
Must be willing and able to travel, with frequency and duration varying based on project assignments
