Responsibilities

Lead and oversee the estimating process, ensuring accurate, competitive proposals through effective team leadership, risk analysis, cost forecasting, and collaboration across departments

Build and maintain strong relationships with Owners, Clients, Designers, Subcontractors, and Suppliers, reflecting the Company’s core values

Collaborate with the Preconstruction Team on negotiated opportunities and conceptual estimates

Supervise, mentor, and develop the estimating team, identifying high-potential employees for future leadership roles

Manage labor cost analysis for self-performed work, updating production rates based on historical and market data

Oversee subcontractor solicitation, bid coverage, and use of the company’s Bid-Room system to ensure effective communication and participation goals are met

Evaluate opportunities for self-perform work and strategic sequencing to maximize competitiveness, and assist in developing bid day strategies

Stay current with estimating and bid solicitation software, providing training and recommending updates as needed

Serve as lead estimator on projects when necessary based on workload or project complexity
