The Senior Tax Accountant will lead the preparation and delivery of tax returns, provide strategic tax planning and advice, and mentor junior staff, all while fostering strong client relationships.

Responsibilities

Lead the preparation, review, and timely delivery of complex federal, state, and local tax returns for pass-through entities, corporations, and high-net-worth individuals
Perform tax planning, research, and strategy development: identify opportunities, minimize risks, and execute solutions
Guide clients on entity selection, operational tax planning, and integration of tax strategy with broader business goals
Serve as a trusted advisor to business owners--translating tax data into meaningful insights and supporting smarter decision-making
Collaborate with accounting, advisory, and QuickBooks consulting functions
Mentor and train junior staff; contribute to improving systems, workflows, and client experience

Qualification

Required

CPA (or actively pursuing) with strong experience in public accounting
Deep knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws affecting business entities and individuals
A proactive, advisory-minded professional who goes beyond compliance
Excellent communication skills and confidence in discussing complex tax issues with business owners
